We’re thrilled to announce that Dash has been fully integrated into social media platform InLeoio, letting users earn Dash for their social media posts. This represents a collaboration between the Dash, Hive, and Maya Protocol blockchain projects.
InLeo is a social media microblogging platform built on top of the Hive blockchain. All posts are written to Hive, where the user owns their own data. If InLeo were to go away, all user posts would still exist and be viewable on other Hive interfaces.
With this new partnership, users will be able to sign up and login to InLeo using a Dash wallet, earn from regular posts and from exclusive subscriptions, and automatically receive payouts in Dash, right to their wallet: no minimum qualification thresholds, no ID requirements, no bank account needed!
How to Sign Up and Use
To sign up, go InLeo.io/SignUp. Then choose the keystore option. Back up your wallet by writing down your recovery phrase, encrypt it with a password, and save the keystore file to your computer. You’ll need it to sign in. This keystore wallet will now also work for logging into a wide variety of Maya Protocol DeFi platforms. You can also use a phrase from an existing Dash wallet.
You can skip this step if you have already created a keystore wallet previously (such as for using another Maya interface). At the InLeo signup page, check "I already have a keystore" when creating an account.
You can now post short-form posts and images, long-form articles and blog posts, and even short videos. You get paid for posting, as well as for upvoting, or curating, other user’s posts! You can also buy a premium membership on the platform, which gives you special features and boosts the reach of your posts, and you can pay to subscribe to creators to access exclusive content.
It’s a full-featured social media content platform similar to X, except you control and own all your own content and data, and you don’t need to hit minimum thresholds, get approved, or submit government ID in order to start earning.
Where Does the Money Come From?
It’s a very intricate system, but here’s the basics of how InLeo users are paid.
Every post, article, and so on that you make is a transaction on the Hive blockchain. Out of Hive’s block reward, or new coins created by the network, part is reserved to pay to creators and curators. When someone upvotes your content, that increases your share of the creator’s pool. One week later, you get a payout, half of it to power up your account and give you more voting power, and half in HBD, or Hive Dollars, an algorithmic stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. You also get some Leo tokens, the native token of InLeo.
Read this article for a more in-depth explanation of Hive and its tokenomics:

Automatically at certain intervals, the HBD and Leo that you earn gets swapped for Leo tokens on LeoDEX, which then gets swapped for Leo on Arbitrum. This then gets swapped straight for Dash on the Maya Protocol. All you see, though, is that you keep making content, and Dash automatically shows up in your wallet.
HBD that you earn from subscribers also gets swapped this way. When you buy Premium or subscribe to someone with Dash, it’s the opposite: Dash gets swapped through LeoDEX to pay InLeo or the creator you subscribe to.
What do I do with the Dash I earned?
Spend or save! Dash is digital cash, real decentralized and scarce money. In many parts of the world you can already use it to live partially, or entirely, without government-issued fiat currency. Here’s how:
First, download the DashPay wallet for Android (iOS coming soon-ish). Restore it with the recovery phrase you saved from your InLeo signup. You can use this wallet to spend privately, register a userame, friend other Dash users on the blockchain, stake and earn, and more. It’s constantly being updated with new features, including spending tools, so keep checking.
In the meantime, you can pay your bills in many countries directly in Dash. For the US, sign up to Spritz Finance. In Europe, use Swapin. Bitrefill works for El Salvador. The list is constantly growing!
For everyday purchases, look at what Bitrefill has to offer, from gift cards to phone refills to eSIMs and more. They have a wide global selection. And don’t forget to check the merchant map in the DashPay wallet, which will be updated as we get more businesses on board.
Thanks to InLeo and Dash, you can now earn digital cash for creating content on social media, closing the loop of living on freedom money while owning your own data. Happy posting!
