Hey everyone, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you have a positive start to the new weekend! In this article I would like to go into more detail about one of my experiences during my trip to Budapest and hope you can learn new things.
During my trip to Budapest, I decided to visit the opera to take a closer look at it during a guided tour and it was an interesting experience to look a little behind the scenes. The guided tours take place regularly and can be visited in different languages and I especially liked that they are led by different leaders and the visitors are not dependent on an audio guide, which makes the tour comfortable in every respect and the different tour guides divide themselves so that each group is alone for itself and can visit the rooms in peace without being confused by the other languages. The tickets can be purchased online or directly on site and cost 9000 HU for each person, which corresponds to about 22 $ and the tour lasted a total of 60 minutes, which also includes a small performance in which the delightful art form is presented in more detail and brings people more to the taste to visit a whole performance. In Hungary it's one of the most famous houses which is located in the district of Pest and is also considered one of the most popular in all of Europe which attracts thousands of visitors every year due to the breathtaking architecture in Renaissance style.
The building was designed by the architect Miklós Ybl (1814 - 1891) who received a lot of recognition for his buildings in his life and was even once knighted and this opera house is probably his best known work which was built during the 19th century and the construction took almost ten years. During construction, emphasis was always placed on the quality of all materials and he was very unique in this respect and placed extremely high demands on them and both outside and inside many different elements can be observed which expresses the diversity well. The building is richly decorated with various elements which can be associated with the Baroque era and there are also many traces of Greek mythology and during the construction there was also talk of the opera house in Vienna and to this day, the opera is considered one of the most important sights of the city in which various pieces are regularly performed.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about this exciting topic! I captured these pictures with my iPhone 16.
