It is really a great privilege to share my own experience on the hive blockchain. I came across some post about those that have shared theirs and I feel like doing the same since I have also learn a lot in the blockchain.
I really appreciate @snook for putting this up because it is very awesome for people on the blockchain to share their journey here so far, how they've started and what they have achieve or gain over the past few years.
So let me go straight to questions
How long have you been on the Blockchain?
I joined the hive blockchain two years ago August to be precise by a friend @rufans who introduced the blockchain to me when I came visiting to spend some time at his place.
What was your background in Cryptocurrency when you first came to the blockchain?
I knew nothing about cryptocurrency, and had no idea what is was all about.
What was your background in writing when you first came to the blockchain?
This is quite interesting, it depends on the area of specialization, but am not that good when it comes to writing especially when it's a long article or words but since joining the platform is now like a hobby because am not always myself If i did not write anything for a day.
How many people did you know when you first came to the Blockchain?
The only person I knew was @rufans who introduced me to the blockchain because I explained all what am going through then he ask me if I could joined the platform though I wasn't interested at first because @rufans was always busy writing and I always wondering what he was writing but never bother to ask until the day he told me if am interested and I agreed since I will gain from it.
How did you meet people when you first came to the Blockchain?
Well like I said earlier, I joined the blockchain two years ago but was away for almost one and the half year before coming to the blockchain some few months back. It wasn't easy for me at first when I joined because I was eager to earn the way @rufans was earning but I didn't see any upvote in my post I do make so I stayed away from the blockchain.
But my coming back has really helped me a lot because I met new people in the blockchain who I really look up too. I met @leedsunited in the blockchain because he always host a competition in sports almost every day where we have the opportunity to predict matches for the day which is really awesome and he is a nice person too.
@nathanmars a Twitter lover I saw his post on Twitter and decided to follow him on hive and since then he is a wonderful person I have came across and I have really learnt a lot from him and still learning about the Leofinance platform and other interesting topics he do post or discuss.
@tarazkp I noticed his long post and decided to follow him and I would say I have really learnt a lot from his post and am still learning because his post teaches me how to be patient in reading before giving my own opinion on topic or content he post to give or share my own idea on it.
Who did you look up to when you first came to the blockchain?
I would say nobody when I first joined because I didn't understand how the system works but along the line there are wonderful people that I have come across in the blockchain that I really look up too and love every part of their work on the blockchain with the likes @nathanmars @louisthomas @jongolson @josediccus, and i really appreciate their work on the blockchain, they are really amazing people one need to look up too.
How would you describe your first three months on the blockchain?
Annoying and stressful because like I said before I was eager to earn but didn't get any upvote so I saw it as a waste of time and stayed away but coming back has really bring changes because I decided to sit myself down and made some findings then I realized that consistency matters a lot in the blockchain and to socialize with others by commenting on their post and that has really helped me a lot.
Has being a part of the blockchain changed you in any way for the good?
Absolutely yes, because it has helped me both on the blockchain and in my personal life. Writing and reading now look like a hobby and since I came back I have not been absent from the blockchain and I which not too because it will weigh me down like I miss a jackpot.
What is your favorite memory from your time on the blockchain?
It was when @hivebuzz sent me a message that I have been a buzzy bee for a month and that was like an achievement to me because it makes me feel my presence in the blockchain is relevant with the act of been consistent and hardworking to be active on the blockchain. I really recommend that.
If you could give advice to a new person signing up to Hive what would it be?
I always say this and I would say it again, the slow movement of a tiger is not a mistake but a calculated accuracy which means slow and steady wins the race. The beginning is always rough and tough but there's a positive results waiting for you someday, so dont panic and continue doing your best it will definitely pay someday.
