As a cat mom and animal lover since I am on this planet, during my overthinking moments I tend to think of a lot of animals. From these that you can have as pets, to those that you can only appreciate from the distance but which, in fact, no matter what people say, they are a lot more honest, loyal and worth living on this planet than most of the human beings.
I might be harsh in exprimation, but as years are passing and I'm slowly fading in time, I tend to appreciate more animals rather than people who can change in a blink when fragile emotions capture their soul, such as health issues, more finances, but also a new gang to hang out with.
So, as a tribute to all the animals out there, I thought it's finally the time to dedicate them a batch of street art I managed to find in town, with animals being the main theme for each of them. This post is also going to take part in CCC's Street Art Contest #235!
The first street art that is opening up my post is with a bear. I usually set these images following my preferences and while today it would be hard to pick a favorite, I decided to start with the bear image because it's also a symbol for Romania which has the largest population of bears in Eastern Europe. I know that many people tend to find these animals as dangerous and ferocious ones, but the open mouth represents an invitation to a more open mind for those who tend to judge bears, especially since right now there is no species on this globe with a certain future.

Next up, we have again an invitation to a more open-minded attitude, but which comes with a clown nose as a reminder to have fun during the whole process, but also the gas mask which is a symbol of stoicism but where the filter of the mask is made of book pages meaning that we should never stop learning new things and documenting ourselves before going with the flow.
Name: KABLOOM (2019)
Artists: HARCEA PACEA
Location: Strada Ștefan cel Mare 193, Sibiu, România
The 3rd mural is a fairly recent addition in town that is not even 2 years old but which was placed in a pretty sad scenery so it does a great job to bring some more color and hope for those who are passing by this street daily. Sadly, I couldn't find a proper story for what it represents, but being born on the 1st day of Autumn and seeing all the falling leaves and dry flowers as part of the bird, makes me feel like it has something in common with that season. What do you think?
Name: HONEY GUIDE (2023)
Artists: DOMINIC LAPORTE
Location: Strada Hermann Oberth, Sibiu 557260, Romania
Not really a mural but more like a 'street art' represented physically during a temporary exhibition brought this butterfly made entirely of threads. Being part of a temporary exhibition made the art also fade in time with no information about who the artist is, the title or the story of it but I'm happy I managed to take a picture of it and keep it alive, at least somewhere in my mind.
Name: Unknown (2022)
Artists: UNKNOWN
Location: Piata Albert Huet, Sibiu, România
Last but not least, there is a pretty old mural which sadly I couldn't take a picture of without the fence in front of it, but which manages to stir curiosity anyway. The mural was created to remember Pegasus and Bellerophontes where Bellerophontes is the the first man who ever tamed a wild horse accompanied by the support of Athena Goddess. Even if this seems like a great place from where to start documenting further for some more history insights, the actual story is that no matter how big the goals are, no one should ever stop fighting for them because you will always find a way to achieve these if you really want that.
