It was definitely a fun show. I do agree that the reliance on web2 platforms does suck. I would prefer it if they were on threads or something else as it contributes to the blockchain, but most people aren't on these platforms.

Thanks for the insightful info especially the one about bull and bear markets. This has at least helped to spice up my knowledge of the financial markets. Whether Bollinger or Bollanger bands, haha, at least I got some real value from the show.

I think it is spelt Bollinger bands…

Todo lo que sea análisis técnico es bueno refrescar conocimiento y estudiar. Y comentar y hablar de ello

Those things talked about is valid for proper trading entry decisions

Bollinger Bands :)

Summary

In this episode of the Crypto Maniacs Podcast, Jon G. Olson and Taskmaster discussed various aspects of blockchain and social media engagement, with a focus on the Leo and Hive platforms. They emphasized the importance of consistency, activity, and ownership in growing a network, and critiqued the tendency of some users to expect immediate results without dedicated effort. The episode also covered the potential benefits of Leo Premium memberships, the significance of building valuable content, and the mindset shift needed from being a passive user to an active owner.

Detailed Analysis

The episode kicked off with a casual catch-up between the hosts, Jon (Jango) and Task (Taskmaster), leading into an extensive discussion on the importance of consistent involvement in platforms like Leo and Hive for network growth. The conversation highlighted how many users lack a business mindset, expecting growth without consistent investment of effort.

Consistency and Activity:
A major part of their discussion emphasized consistency and activity on platforms like Leo Glossary and Hive. Taskmaster shared his weekend activities, underlining his commitment to contributing regularly, underscoring the point that growth requires unwavering dedication, not sporadic participation.

Leo Premium and Building Value:
They discussed the value of Leo Premium memberships, drawing parallels with Amazon Prime as a model of offering undeniable value to encourage user investment. The idea is to make Leo Premium such a compelling proposition that committed Leo users would see it as indispensable. Moreover, they noted the significance of building content and engagement on Leo to increase its value, independent of market prices.

Ownership vs. Employee Mindset:
A critical theme was the distinction between having an ownership versus an employee (or user) mindset. Taskmaster passionately argued that success on platforms like Leo requires users to adopt an ownership mindset, not just consuming content and complaining about issues but contributing, building, and investing effort as if they were owners. They criticized the tendency of some community members to prioritize participation in external platforms (e.g., X/Twitter) over contributing directly to Hive or Leo ecosystems.

Growing the Network through Content Creation:
They urged content creators to diversify the types of content being shared on Leo, suggesting the establishment of various themed content (e.g., music, books, history, recipes) to enrich the platform, feed into LeoAI, and attract a broader audience. The goal is to transform Leo into a bustling hub of diverse and meaningful content, increasing its appeal and utility for new and existing users alike.

Conclusion:
The episode concluded with a call-to-action for listeners to heighten their engagement, take initiative in content creation, and approach their participation on Leo and Hive with an ownership mentality. The hosts’ message was clear: the success and growth of these platforms depend on the collective efforts of their user base to build, contribute, and engage meaningfully, rather than passively waiting for others to make the first move.
