If it was up to me, I'd skip the whole big event. Get married with our families and have a good party after.
Hard to be romantic when your getting scalped at every turn. Even the church are at it. €800 just to use the church for a few hours plus a few hundred to hire a priest. €200 for a wedding course on top or you can't use the church.
I should publish the list of rules the priest sent us as well about no food or drink, dress codes, time keeping, no drinking at the alter, no drinking before the wedding, no choosing popular songs ect...
Takes a lot of the fun out of it.

I wonder if you have to pay to hire the church for a funeral too or would that be just too distasteful even for the clergy.
