I am so privileged to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world the bonny Scotland. Yestarday I decided to go and hike up the 2 Munros Scottish highest mountains over 3000 feet despite the thunder forecast. I knew I have to challenge myself to walk fast.
Climbing the steep nose was not as difficult as it looked from the bottom.
The mist came out of the sudden from nowhere and I got a bit off the route following the path rather than staying on the ridge.
I landed up traversing a very steep slope full of grags before I reached the path again. I climb a bit more on a ridge before I reached the summit of A'Chailleach.
I met a hill walking party from Glasgow and landed up walking with them. They were very nice people.
Looks like the mist is lifting.
It looks so much better if you see where you going.
We got to the second summit of Sgurr Breac which in Gaelic means the speckled Rocky peak.
Now we were going down a steep descent towards the river at the bottom.
Long slog return to the car.
The folks I met offered a nice cup of coffee from their camper van and as I got to the car the heavens opened and I heard the thunderstorm and lightning do happy to drive home. Thank you for reading.
