RE: CONTEST! | Operation Mass Adoption | 12,000 Steem in Prizes

Featured spam downvoted - and account muted.

Sort:

Hi, May I ask why do you think it's spam? And why is it worth a downvote? Why would you mute an account who's only purpose is help steem awareness?

How do you not know spam when you see it? This is spam - unwanted and unnecessary. It's displacing what I'm actually using this site for - to view my feed. All spam should be downvoted by good curators. I mute most accounts that I see posting spam, so that I end up being spammed less in the future. Muting is an excellent feature for handling problem accounts.

Did you even read what the post is about or just because it's a featured post you took this course of action?

Sounds like persuading this guy to come round to your point of view would be as hard as to convince the guy on the left in this picture:

I skimmed it briefly, why do you ask?
Another question for you: How much time should a person spend reading something thrust in front of their face, unwanted and uninvited? How well do you read the spam you get handed on street corners by marketing workers hired to give everybody who walks by an advertisement?
I even commented to let @steemonboarding know why I downvoted this featured spam. (It wasn't an invitation for random users to question me about my decision-making process, but I've answered you anyway.)
