Yep, that’s right, all the votes you cast on posts created from here in will be paid out under the 50% curation creator split.
Yesterday I published a post being my last posts under HF20 and I’m actually excited to see how this post compares when it come to payouts because this will be my first post to pay out under the new rules. I purposely created a before and after post so I can see the immediate impact, before people start to change their voting, flagging and curating behaviours.
I also got some clarification that curation rewards won’t be penalised where voting happens after the first 5 minutes from publishing. This is a reduction down from 15 minutes and a welcome change.
My Curation Focus (or lack of)...where my votes will be going
I look at my feed a lot, although it is a bit quite and I could do with following more interesting people, it often means I will read a post within the first minutes. Previously I would try not vote before the 15 minutes but very often I would then forget to go back and give a vote to the post. So, I personally welcome this change that comes with the HF.
I do hope to curate a little better, I have loved using Parkito for casual reading and finding out what’s going on with my steem peers. But now that there is also a mobile keychain by @rolandp I hope to also start curating the tribes. I have no intentions on setting up alt account to vote different tribes as some have done. That’s just way too much work for me.
Obviously my first point of call for my VP is to engage with people on m brand account and reward those that take part in the learn and earn activities.
but for my spare VP, I do have a curation plan I want to put in place. I have wanted to do it for a long time but have not go around to it. I would really love to be manually curating other users that are trying to use the steem blockchain to add value to an existing or new business. I'm not talking about developers building apps, but content type businesses, just like mine(well now wouldn't you know lol). I wrote a post some time ago explaining the concept in more detail, My Steem Vision – a tool for enterprises.

These are the types of people and content I would love to be supporting. @jongolson is someone I have my eye on and need to move some support to. But I don’t know any others here on the block and I haven’t had time to look. If you do know any, please do let me know. Steempress is a great place to start so I might become more active in their discord over the next few weeks.
