Goodbye Carissa
Googling all night for some last-minute costume, cutting up garbage bags and not being able to find any materials to create my halloween costume. I envisioned myself being a really cool ninja by just tying some garbage bags together but unfortunately, my big body broke through the bags and I knew I needed to think of something else. I searched high and low for materials around the house that I could use but because I stay alone, I don't usually have makeup and stuff to make costumes...
I started to panic until i remembered I have a Korean issued military vest and I could just go as a soldier. All I needed was to borrow some black makeup for the face paints and I'm done. And so I went...
This is my first time dressing up for halloween and it was a really spontaneous idea from my friend, Carissa, seeing that it would just be a fun time to chill and relax around the office. I got to the office and I was surprised as the girls were so much better prepared than I was.
The whole event wasn't just dressing up but because Carissa would be leaving my company for 2 months, I had the night booked for a BBQ farewell session for her. As you all know, food is my forte and I've decided to try out this new Korean BBQ that uses and combines apples into their BBQ.

One thing I love about Korean BBQs is the refillable side dishes. Usually, they come with some seaweed, caramelized peanuts, kimchi, salad and many more. While we wait for the delicious meat to be cooked, we can start ourselves with these delicious side dishes. This Korean BBQ restaurant served us quite generously and we didn't need to refill the side dishes. They had a promotion too. RM10 (2.5 usd) for unlimited pork belly. You know how much I LOVE pork and pork belly is the one thing I must-have during a Japanese or Korean BBQ night out.
Yea, you see the same girl in every picture and that's because it's her farewell. She is a coordinator in our company. She manages our project schedules, the liaising with clients and vendors, etc etc, so she has definitely touched grounds with many of us.
This is the one thing I love being in this company, we all are pretty tightly knitted and it is always fun when these peeps are around. There was a time when I had to overtime with my team for 3 months straight, I actually missed not seeing them for just a day. I would bug them on Whatsapp, send memes, gifs on facebook just to talk to them. So saying goodbye to one of them isn't always the easiest but a good reminder that I should always appreciate the moments spent with amazing people.
I'm glad it's almost the weekend. I can't wait to get some rest! Goodnight.
