As a small content creator I don't mind only earning a buck or two on average per post. I do it to grow my community, to share my work with the world, and for the future hopes of earning larger amounts.
It's going to get very frustrating though if the progress goes backwards as a result of seemingly arbitrary reward curve changes. I definitely don't hear anybody talking about author rewards being too high.

I am talking specifically about myself. Not every post does that good but a lot of them do, and that doesn't seem so crazy compared to other people at my "level" shrug
Of course I know a lot of steemians make less, I want to help them do better too. For them it might be even worse to lose % of rewards, they are earlier in the journey. Its really hard when you only get a few votes on each post
The goal of this is to make author rewards higher - for the authors who are actually contributing. Whether it will actually work as hoped remains to be seen.
