RE: Hardfork 21 - Steem Proposal System (SPS) + Economic Improvement Proposal (EIP)

in #hf216 years ago

Is there any way to create a proposal for consideration with respect to fixing the EIP? I feel strongly that implementation of the current EIP, most specifically of the convergent linear reward curve will be highly disruptive to the platform. The EIP, with exception of the flag pool, can easily be simulated with historic data, and running a few weeks of transactions through a simple simulation doesn't look like it creates any of the incentives that the proposal narrative states it would create.

I have a few simple concrete ideas that I believe could "fix" the EIP.

Is there any way to write up these fixes and get them to be considdered by Steemit Inc and the top witnesses before implementation of the EIP on HF21?

@timcliff :

I just wrote up a A serious attempt at repairing the STEEM Economic Improvement Proposal.
Is there any right way to get ideas like these looked at by the people who decide this?

I truly feel these two fixes I propose could make a lot of difference. Both by improving the actual incentive and in attenuating the negative impact from some of the measures.

At this point, it is highly unlikely that these changes will be made. After the hardfork, there will be the "SPS" system where users (such as yourself) can make proposals and get funding if you can convince a significant enough percentage of stakeholders that the idea is worth funding.
