It seems that you made a real effort to correct your mistake after realizing it and took action by removing the annoying person, apologizing and trying to explain your position, but in the end you can't force someone to accept your apology.

        Absolutely! I don't even mind that he didn't accept the apology, but he got very hostile towards the end; that cemented the end of our communication. Oh well - moving on.
