I bet that was a huge change for you to move from FL to MO! I sometimes forget smoking was such a huge part of culture back then. Even in the 80's our high school had a smoking area in the court yard for students. That seems so weird to think about now.

        It was a shock because the first winter they had the worst ice storm in 30 years.

        The other day I saw a picture of a grocery store we used to have and remembered how it had an ashtray at the end of each aisle and we did not have to wear shoes to go inside. They made us wear shoes before they stopped smoking inside.
