I guess this marks the last weekend of 2019. On my way to church this morning, I was feeling excited mostly for the opportunities and the New Year ahead. I know that many things would change in my life next year and starting afresh seemed like a good thing. 2019 has been really good to me and I can't deny that I've found out and learned some things about myself. Many life lessons and my personal direction in where I'm heading.
Today was a pretty unique day as well because I've decided to visit my ex-church where I spent 10 years serving in. During an ex-church member's wedding yesterday, I met many of them and they all asked me to come to visit them whenever possible and I thought, hey why not visit them today?
It was good to return to somewhere I was comfortable being part of for 10 years and it was good to see all my friends once again. I didn't have to pay for lunch today because the church catered for our lunch and also my friend had booked a table at a seafood restaurant for us. If you thought one lunch was enough.... try two.
It was my first time coming to this restaurant in the city center and I could tell it was pretty expensive from the huge lobster greeting us at the entrance. The food was pre-ordered because the restaurant needed to prepare them beforehand and no last-minute cancellations were allowed.
I tried to take all the photos but having surrounded by more than 10 dishes including 3 types of desserts, I was just focusing on which food to eat. So let me just indulge you with some of the dishes I've eaten today.
Personal bamboo clam serving
They were 5 types of lobster cooked in different sauces
Kam Heong Lala
Fish
Scallops
1 out of the 3 desserts served
There were more but I did not take photos of all of them. After this feast, we went to grab some ice cream. Yes... I know... Malaysians LOVE eating and we do it no matter the time. We love our food and we have food for almost all types of events. Dessert after food is also one of the requirements if you're looking to be a Malaysian but I assure you, with a proper diet and exercise, you'll still make it through healthy.
So here's to everyone entering the Year 2020! Has a nice ring to it ey? Year 2020.
Thank You
