What a lovely photograph of a sunny day in the park.
The shadows in contrast to the sunny areas is sharp...I am wondering if the temperatures were as well.

Yes, the temperature contrasts in March and April are as sharp as they look -- pleasant in the sun, forbidding in the shade!
