Hello friends, today I'm taking my friends to celebrate my granddaughter's exams. She's in fourth grade and next year she'll be in fifth grade. Last Wednesday was her last exam day. I promised her that I would take her out for a meal to relax after three days of stress from exams. We went to the same restaurant, Vieng Kham Smoothie, because my granddaughter had never been here before. This place has a variety of food at reasonable prices.
We came on Thursday at five in the evening, but we were disappointed because the restaurant is closed every Thursday. We didn't know, so we wasted our time traveling. We made a new appointment to come on Friday at five in the evening. On Friday, we came as agreed.
For this meal, we ordered simple food: vegetable salad with boiled eggs, fried gyoza, stir-fried glass noodles with holy basil, stir-fried soy sauce, baked spinach with cheese, and finally, bread with milk and Ovaltine, and ice cream. We sat for about an hour and a half, just like every time we come. Today, my granddaughter was most impressed with the gyoza, bread with milk and Ovaltine, and ice cream.
Now, I consider that I did what I promised her, and she's going to stay in Bangkok for two weeks. To live with her parents because it was the school break and she would return to study summer on April 1st because she said she wanted to see her friends, so she asked to go to study summer.
I have raised this niece since she was three months after her mother gave birth because her mother went to work in Bangkok. Sometimes my friends would misunderstand and think that she was my daughter, but I raised her more than my daughter because when my daughter was young, I worked in another province and my niece's mother and grandmother and grandfather were the ones who raised my children. That's why I have to raise her children in return. My niece is very close to me. We are an uncle and niece couple in the house.
Thank you to all my friends who have supported me.
