Harvesting fresh langsat fruit in the family garden

Happy New Year 🥰🥰

Hi everyone, today I will share about my routine in the new year moment, yeah as can be clearly seen in the picture that today I went to my family's garden to harvest langsat fruit, to get to this garden it took me about 15 minutes from home I was riding a motorbike, it wasn't actually a long distance, it was just that the plantation roads didn't have asphalt so I had to ride the motorbike very slowly.

but there is something unique that I have never done in previous harvests, because I went in a hurry I was not able to remember properly all the requirements needed to harvest this fruit, as you know, harvesting this fruit cannot be done carelessly. because it can damage the fruit, so to harvest langsat fruit we have to be careful and relaxed, if we harvest this fruit like coconut in a hurry yeah everything will be messy, so to harvest this fruit you have to be very careful.

as I said above, because I went in a hurry the first thing I forgot was that I didn't bring complete equipment to harvest this fruit, and the only important equipment that I didn't bring to the garden was a rope, even though it was for harvesting fruit. You shouldn't forget this rope, because the way to harvest this fruit is very unique, even so I had to find a solution, and yeah I found a solution, namely by using vines as a substitute for rope, this is scary because I have never done it once in my life, it looks like this was an extraordinary experience for me.

I found about three vines that grew abundantly around the river, and these were very suitable as a substitute for rope, the strong stems and thick skin were suitable in my mind, without thinking I cut the three vines.

After cleaning all the leaves of the vines, I tied them to a bucket which will be a container for harvesting langsat fruit soon.

The bucket which is a container for harvesting langsat fruit is pulled up using vines as a substitute for rope, but our workers have to do it carefully because Langsat stems have a stem height of up to 20 meters, there are many obstacles that can cause the replacement rope to break, so our workers must be careful.

Using vines as a substitute for rope was the best solution today, our workers started picking and it was successful as expected.

I am holding a sprig of langsat fruit which will be a fresh meal today.

I pile the langsat fruit that I have picked on betel leaves, I have areca leaves because they are guaranteed and don't damage the skin of the fruit, so the langsat we harvest today can last for the next few days without needing refrigeration like a refrigerator.

This plant is easier to grow in tropical climates and moist soil conditions, and we generally plant langsat in the traditional way, namely without fertilizing and spraying, and it could be said that langsat is a type of fresh fruit without any indication of chemicals such as fertilizers or poisons. insects, so this fruit is very safe to consume even without washing it beforehand.

Lansium parasiticum, commonly known as langsat (/ˈlɑːŋsɑːt/),[2][3] is a species of tree in the family Meliaceae with commercially cultivated edible fruits. The species is native to Southeast Asia.[2] Despite its name, it is not parasitic; the specific epithet parasiticum derives from the fact that it can grow as an epiphyte in the wild, which was once thought to be an indication of parasitism. So the experience that I have done today will be something for anyone when they are in the wilderness without carrying complete equipment, so whoever you are can take advantage of the wild plants that grow around you, so this is an important part to understand because it will help you find solution when in the forest, garden or wherever.

Thank you very much for reading, I hope this post can broaden your knowledge about wildlife, see you in the next post with a different topic 🥰🥰
