Today I’ll be sharinh with you guys a piece i used in winning a portrait contest
I must say Contests like this help me do a bit more with my art in the sense that I get to calmly work on them knowing it will be judged by someone. Although creating art is not supposed to be done this way but we can’t leave out the fact that art itself is subjective to anyone viewing it and in the case of entering for a contest one has to be able to see from others perspective and put in place what is supposed to be regardless of how the artist may originally feel about his work which in other hand helps build a sense self criticism hence comes the individual growth.
