Butterfly are really beautiful creatures, their wings have unique and intricate designs and quite simple to draw. I used differnt patterns for their wings, like dots, lines, or curves, and gradually add more detail to them as i progressed. I looked at some reference images to capture the distinct style and pattern on each of them....
