"BLOSSOM"
She was beautiful, was Blossom, I couldn't deny, in an ethereal sort of way.
And she chose me to embrace her being, caring, protecting, nurturing;
an admirer's pledge of love.
As so often I'd attempt, believing the action unnoticed, peeked, probed,
then avoided her gaze as she danced on high, swaying.
Dare I look deeper, venturing into her lush, emerald garden of secrets?
Would she allow me to, then return, my senses reeling from her fragrant cheeks?
Alabaster carved on her naked attire.
At first, I yanked at the linen of my sorrow,
then gently peeled back her desires of tomorrow.
My eyes misted upon her elegant frame.
unlocking the sweet, wild, salted crimson flame.
My heart began to flutter softly.
I could not halt the sensation,
just as I could not halt the evening sun drawing to dusk's close.
I cared not that birds gathered to witness the union.
Desperately desiring to look away, I dared not.
I snipped at her covering.
Standing transfixed for the longest time,
I watching, waiting for her to respond.
She withdrew at my angry touch.
I backed away, trembling, fists gnashing between my teeth. Hoping.
My thoughts are not my own today. She has intruded upon my senses.
A welcome diversion from the mundane processes of caring for her well being.
For I must give all I have to nourish her growth; this binding alliance.
I know within my heart she will return my advances. In time.
Not today, she responded, as lips pursed, then recoiled, taking with them her hips closed tightly.
I would not succumb. I could not.
Tomorrow I will begin anew.
Carefully, I applied the moisture, the loving oil for her ache.
Her soft, red complexion nudged my hand.
She finally emerged, giving me all I desired, opening herself up to me on the wings of a rose.
My approach to the current mixed media art project was that of beauty surrounded by nature. A delicate flower encased in a thorny bush. To capture the essence of my prose for this project, I leaned toward the exotic senses one can experience. For the visual interpretation, I utilized my pure fractals, together with an alluring stable diffusion image.
My beautiful fractals, which I lovingly created in Apophysis 7X, an advanced fractal rendering program. When I think of fractals, I'm reminded of the saying about "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get." Exactly what I experience each time I add a variation and she the shape the iterations take.
This first fractal, of which I'm most proud is titled "Red Web of Fantasy". I was awestruck when looking at this image. A web. A flower petal. A cone. A maze. So many directions you can go in creating a mixed media art project.
For me, it was a flower.
Not to be omitted are my other pure fractals I designed and included in this project. They served as excellent background and foregoing images to enhance the beauty of the flower.
Meet "Knobbing".
Meet "Torch In Purple and Yellow".
Meet "Ocean Mist". He served as the background and foreground of "Blossom" world as she grew to maturity. His lush, green arms protected her.
Meet "Candlestick Gloom".
For my stable diffusion image, I wanted to portray a female who captured the essence of a rose. The qualities I applied to her description ensured that she would be looking up toward the sky, opening up and embracing life. I used StarryAI to create the image. I feel the red hair added a flair that paired well with the fractals.

Once my images were created, I utilized Canva to blend the scene. My Annual Pro Membership Subscription came in handy as I needed to remove backgrounds, colorize, apply filters, and resize some images to fit the canvas.
My procedures are below. I started with a blank screen. Immediately I knew I needed a black background. The color option for the entire canvas handled this request.
I feel that the most important aspect of my design was the background. It had to encompass the lush, green of a garden where the flower grew to maturity. The fractal that handled this task was the Ocean Mist.
Applying duplication to and the ability to switch the orientation of an image is an important feature of my upgraded subscription. Doing this creates a duplicate of the same image to fill the canvas.
Below is my completed project:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my mixed media art project.
