My 2023 Saturday Savers Club Objectives
Operating within the parameters of the Saturday Savers Club gives me the opportunity to work at my own pace to achieve my savings and investment goals. Utilizing the framework suggested by the Club, I find it easy to save with the simple guidelines. The beauty of it is that the Club offers two framework models you can follow if you choose. In the alternative, you can design your own. Just publish a post of your intentions and leave it with the most recent club post. After I discovered the Club two years ago, I found that it fit my strategies for savings and investments. I've learned so much from other members' experiences and savings tips.
What is the Saturday Savers Club?
Saturday Savers Club is for anyone who wants to save in any currency. No matter your purpose, you can begin slow and save at your own pace. Club members are a supportive group who encourages each other and willingly lend tips as they meet up on Saturdays at @eddie-earner's post. We're in Week 18.

April 1st balance: 50.093
Transferred to savings during month of April: 29.741 HBD
20% interest earned on savings from 3/1 - 3/31: 0.641 HBD
May 1st balance: 80.475
Earning 29.741 HBD for the month of April from my content creation is slowly increasing due to additional content creation. I've discovered that by increasing my content creation to between 5 - 7 posts weekly has a dramatic effect on my HBD rewards. Also, earning 20% on my HBD savings is a positive move for me as my balance nears 100 HBD.
EDS Tokens: For the month of April, my total mining lottery rewards were 13.27 EDS. I hope to earn more with my new delegation to the @eds-vote account (see details below).

On Monday, April 17th, a new project was announced. EDSVote. @eds-vote is an account where Hive members can delegate Hive Power to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday. Already more than 50,000 HP has been delegated.
How Does It Work?
If you'd like to participate, the process is simple: Delegate HP to @eds-vote to get EDS
The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens.
~ 50% of curation rewards are used to mint new EDS tokens
~ 50% of curation rewards are powered up to @eddie-earnerEach Monday, newly minted EDS are split between @eds-vote HP delegators each Monday
Hive members that hold more than 100 EDS will get a small upvote (@eddie-earner advises that an upvote is not guaranteed, and respectively requests that you do not ask).
In looking for new projects to invest in, I decided to participate. I delegated a small amount of HP and will monitor their curation efforts.
@eddie-earner states that the project is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS Tokens into circulation.
@eds-vote delegators can then either sell their rewards are keep them to build a HIVE income. EDS are pegged to 1 HIVE each and have a never lost peg from launch 3 years ago so they have a solid history and buying demand on hive-engine.
This form of EDS distribution allows more people get EDS without having to pay HIVE directly or own EDS miners. Also, it's a more efficient way to distribute the EDS token as a whole to a wider amount of people.
