Threads being involved means that people have no excuse for regularly engaging with your audience. In fact, it is one of the things can sets it apart from Patreon and Substack.
If you arent threading with your subscribers, then you are failing.
One of the value of subscriptions is to provide your readers early content.
In other words, put up a post, and then post it open a few weeks later.
Many use substack for this.

Task doesn't have to convince his audience, they will willingly subscribe when they have the 5HBD because they know what they will gain from his content.
This happens when you often give valuable content and willing to offer solution anytime.
Okay, let's have a conversation here, you might find something or more to offer your audience who are willing to subscribe to you.
What do you like doing that you can offer to your audience and at the same time bring a solution to them or resonate with them?
Those are cool topics and people will be willing to engage.
Now, you have to start creating more threads and probably blog posts about them, then watch other creators engage in your content, then you can consider making some subscriber-only.
People need to see what they will subscribe to before they subscribe. Also, you can pick some days to roll out new subscriber-only content so that your subscribers will know when to expect new content.
You can begin a threadcast on relationship talk, @lisamgentile1961 already has a daily threadcast for motivation.

the best way to grow subscriptions is to return the 5 HBD by subscribing back to those who follow you...at least in the early stages (presumming they are creating valuable stuff).
