"Ori Oke Baba Abiye"
In Nigeria, we so much believe in prayer, even though we know the cause and source of our problem, we still believe God would do it for us. We know our leaders are our problem and bad government, but we can't dare face the government, you might be in problem if you criticise the government but we run to God and we are used to it.
On 31st of December 2024 (last day of the year) I and the family of my boss visited a prayer mountain to pray cross over to the new year, we travelled from the state we live to another state just to pray, we live in Ibadan, Oyo State to Ede Osun State because we believe that going to mountains that's specialised for prayer, our prayers would receive speed answer from God and it works for most of us, in as much we pray with clean mind and didn't have wicked heart.
The prayer mountain we visit is called "Ori Oke Baba Abiye" if you get to the place, you will feel it that it is a serene and secluded environment and that makes it ideal for connecting with God. It was established in 1944 by Prophet Samson Oladeji Akande and Over the years, it has evolved into a prayer city, hosting various religious activities and conventions that brings People from different places.
My boss family is family of 4, my boss, his wife and two children (A boy and a girl). For the children's case, we had to log in a hotel room, just to keep the children at rest because they can't have the strength to walk around like we do because we had to pray seriously and aggressively so that this new year may be in our favour and we believe our prayers are answered.
We started prayer by 4pm on 31st of December and took brake till 8pm, then crossover service started by 9pm and we joined because it's a joint prayer that many people are present for. When crossover service ended by 3am, we had to rest in the hotel room we logged to and we travelled back to Ibadan in the morning, we started the journey by 8:15 and and reached Ibadan by 10:13
