Hi guys,
how are you doing today.
This artwork talks about the symbolism and significance of the "rawani," the traditional head wear worn by emirs in West African culture, especially within the Hausa community. The rawani, a like turban wrapped around the male head, representing status and a rooted connection to cultural identity, spirituality, and leadership. Crafted out of the intricate layers of folded fabrics, it signifies wisdom, dignity, and a connection between tradition and authority.
