Hi guys,
how are you doing today and happy sunday
Today I’ll be sharing with you a new artwork i created recently using ballpoint and charcoal on paper.
——— THE MUSIC BOX AND THE SKULL ———
Upon a velvet cloth it lay,
A silver box, worn down by time,
Its gears still hummed a ghostly tune,
A lullaby, both sweet and grime.
Beside it, cold and cracked with age,
A skull, once crowned with thought and flame,
Now silent as the winter earth,
A relic with no face or name.
The music played in lilting sighs,
Like echoes through a crypt of dreams,
Each note a step through shadowed halls,
Where memory flows in quiet streams.
What tales were locked within that bone?
What dancer twirled to chime and bell?
What love, what rage, what final breath
Now sleeps beneath the music’s spell?
The box still spins, the skull still waits,
Together on a shelf of dust,
One sings of life, of joy once known
The other crumbles into rust.
And in their strange, eternal pair,
A truth both beautiful and grim:
The song may fade, the flesh may rot,
But art remembers what was dim.
