IPA and the match
If you know me at all, you know that I like an IPA and I especially like a hoppy IPA and Brewdog's IPAs tick this box for me and all their beers are decent and some are very good.
This week it was a Punk IPA on the auld menu. A solid and reliable IPA and not too strong either, just right as the fella says.
I was a busy boy on the evening of the Arsenal vs United match.
I had training with my U12 squad and just when I landed home, my neighbour arrived who needed to move a trampoline from their garden to ours. They were moving house and gifted it to us.
So between the jigs and the reels, I missed the start of the Arsenal match.
When I eventually got watching it, I treated myself to a nice icy cold Punk IPA.
Something terrible happened actually just before I got in to watch the match. When I got home to watch the match and I was closing the gate, I realised my neighbour was there, so I went to talk to him at the front door leaving the car at the front gate. While I was talking to him, I actually forgot to go back and close the door of the car.
Instead I chatted to him and eventually nipped next door for the trampoline, and moved it over from his house to my house. Then we got a few different bits and pieces for strapping it down. Then he headed off and I spent the next 30 to 40 minutes strapping it down carefully so that it doesn't blow away in the storms that were due. So far so good. Time to watch the match.
I went to move my car to the back of the house where I normally park it. That's when I noticed I'd left the car door wide open and I thought to myself thank God it didn't rain.. It could have been pretty bad if the car got soaked.
Well, actually it did get a little wet inside because as I went to get in the door of my Volkswagen ID4, a cat jumped clean over my shoulder!! I nearly shit myself, scared the feckin life out of me!
It gets worse. I've a funny feeling that it left me a present because the smell was pretty manky. Luckily it wasn't cat shit, but I think it was a little bit of a cat piss. 🤢🤢🤢🤮
So I really needed the beers after I had cleaned the car as best I could!
