Cider Saturday!
There will be a major steward's enquiry following this post, as I suppose technically cider is not a beer, but hey it's alcohol, you drink it from a pint glass and it is great for the thirst on a hot summer's day. So, I think it qualifies, so on I shall go.
It's hard to resist a pint glass of ice and a cider if you are having a jar in Ireland and the sun is shining. I kicked back in my back garden today and sipped on a couple of theses bad boys.
I finished up with work on Friday and I am not back in until Monday the 27th June, meaning that this is the longest contiguous holiday I have ever had from work, except for when my children were born. Trust me, that is not a holiday, the holiday is when you go back to work 3 weeks later and you can actually sit down and finish a cup of tea! Yes, they are the best days of your life when the little ones are born, but believe me they are busy days.
So, back to the point, I am on leave for the next three weeks, we are flying out to Spain on Tuesday for a fortnight (we booked that back in August and got a great deal for family of five plus a 20Kg bag for just over €600, which is a serious deal for June in Spain) That is the beauty of booking early and not being particularly tied to dates.
I have made the mistake in the past of going straight back to work the day after we get home or the day after that, but not this year! We get back on Wednesday 22nd, and I am not back until the Monday after, so I will have some time to unwind after our travels and might play a little bit of golf, as I like to do when time allows.
I had a joke for ye last weekend and it went down fairly well with a few of ye, so here goes again for the craic...

Stop making so much noise
That's It!
Hopefully you're having a great Beer Saturday wherever you are.
Enjoy the beer and the good company you're keeping.
