A slight thirst
It's no secret that I'm the designated driver for Beer Saturday for the month of January. As a result it's no beers for me again this week and for the next ten days too. I'm over halfway through now and it's been grand to be honest, no huge temptation yet, but I'm starting to develop a tiny bit of a thirst now. The lack of hangovers is mighty though to be fair. As the years pass by the hangovers definitely get that little bit worse.
Just because I'm not swamping Guinness or necking IPAs though, does not mean I'm going to miss Beer Saturday.
I always really enjoy @detlev's weekly Beer Saturday contests, and seldom miss a week, so I will continue to take part, even during my self imposed Dry January. I'll just think back on beers I had before or good beer related stories to give you guys some content.
Thinking back on IPAs
I do like a good tasty cold IPA and here are a few from days gone by.
No beers, so what to do?
Well I could walk these little beauts... And they absolutely love their walks too.
Or I could bring the family for a walk in beautiful Connemara which is right here on our doorstep...
Did you ever try going dry?
Did any of guys ever give Dry January a go? I'd highly recommend it to be honest, especially after the hustle and bustle and over indulgence of Christmas.
I'm only 13 days in, but so far so good and not so much as an inkling of temptation as of yet. My brother did it with me last year and continued it on for 4 months, fair dues to him. One month was enough for me and I really enjoyed the few pints in early February I must admit.
