What a name

We had a great day today, son had his drum concert so all five of us went into town to watch him. I must say it was really entertaining, it was great to watch as around 100 or 200 children played a drum concert and the whole crowds really got into too.

Afterwards we hung around Galway and had a nice walk around to a few of the shops and stuff like that and luckily enough we got out just before the thunderstorm hit.

We also had lunch when we were in town and brought the boys to a nice pizza place where I enjoyed a beer and herself had a glass of wine and we treated the kids to some Coke Zero.

I must say this was absolutely lovely and vitally it was served icy and I mean icy cold!

You folks not about now that I like having a look at the can or the bottle art as well so here's a few photos to give you a bit of an idea of our Galway hooker is all about.

I'm sure there's some of you or maybe all of you except the Irish lads who wonder what a Galway hooker is? Get a reminder to the gutter that's not what I'm talking about! So we'll go away hooker is the name of a special boat that we have have here in Ireland and it is synonymous with Galway. In fact the last day when we went out to a lovely little beach near Spiddel we actually saw some Galway hookers out in the bay I plan to do a post about it soon. But for now let me share these couple of photos with the so you can see what a Galway hooker is.

It's not too often in recent times you see these out in the bay so this was a real treat and decide to behold.

The Galway hooker beer is spot on and it's been around for quite a while before all the hipsters and IPAs started popping up here there and everywher. These guys started out in 2006 near the very start of the IPA craze and have built up a good following ever since.
