Sunshine and a few pints for Beer Saturday

The weather

It's been an awful summer in Ireland this year in terms of weather or as the French say "a piss poor Summer"

Ok, the French don't say that, I say that, but I'm sure there's a Frenchman someplace who uttered those words once upon a Saturday..

Alas, I digress..

It's Saturday, which for those with a penchant for a pint can mean only one thing. Yes, my global friends, it's Beer Saturday and the reason I mention the weather is that this year, even throughout the Summer, It's Guinness I've been drinking.

Often I switch to refreshing IPAs or Cider during the warmer months, but this Summer has seen rain, rain, rain and more rain.

So, when I went to the pub during the week, as you can see there wasnt a beer, an IPA or a cider within an ass's roar of us. Guinness, Guinness and more Guinness was the order of the day.

Then something magical happened

That fiery ball in the sky came visiting!

Everyone I met was banking on us getting a spell of weather when the kids go back to school and low and behold, they were spot on!

Our kids went back on Thursday and out came the sun! It was so nice in fact that I got up super early the next morning to play some holes of golf before work.

Now that's my kind of start to a day! Golf and sunshine, giddy up!!

Today is to be equally as nice too, I've an U12 soccer tournament in Westport, so better get the sunscreen on.

Later this evening then, my wife and I are heading out for dinner with some old friends, so really looking forward to that and who knows, I might even go for an auld IPA for a change.

My #Beersaturday was fun, as my Saturday was a combination of rest and quality time with my family.

Cheers

Sounds great, happy to hear it

Guinness is my favorite beer though am in love with any beer that has dark color and bitter taste though I don't know why.

Enjoy the weather

You've got good taste, Guinness is a tasty drink for sure.
