I am my father’s son, they say,
A shadow cast in light of day.
His voice still echoes in my mind,
A compass true, a guide so kind.
His hands were worn, yet firm and strong,
They built my world, they taught me song.
Each lesson carved in love and sweat,
A debt I never can forget.
He stood with honor, proud and tall,
A man of truth who’d never fall.
And though the years may drift us wide,
His heart still beats within my stride.
I see him now in how I stand,
In how I work with steady hand.
Through trials fierce and battles won,
I walk this path—my father’s son.
