Halloween had come and gone
My kids absolutely love Halloween. It's up there as one of their top three days of the year along with their birthdays and Christmas.
They love putting the decorations up.
They love that it's mid term break, and so there's no school.
They especially loves trick or treating around the local neighbourhood for sweets and treats.
Another thing that they love is carving some pumpkins and they did it all by themselves this year and they turned out pretty well.
My oldest son, who's currently eleven opted for a puking pumpkin!! π€£
And without the flash...
My cousin had a party for the kids and these were two of the stand out costumes.
Good and all as these ones were, this one was absolutely outstanding and so simple up in Dublin.
In case anyone does not know who this legend is. It's a statue of renowned Irish singer Luke Kelly, a member of the Dubliners until his untimely death. Here are a few of his songs, both brilliant in their own way, firstly we have Raglan Road a favourite poem of mine from the gifted Patrick Kavanagh. The second is a song written by Phil Coulter about their son who was born with Downs Syndrome. Some societies abort these pregnancies. Not Ireland we celebrate all our children, no matter what.
Good man Luke. Top man.
Well there you have it. Happy Belated Halloween. If I don't see you through the week, I'll see you through the window.
