A sunny day in the forest
I had some work to do in a local forest recently. I had to cut back the low hanging branches up to around 3 metres to allow for inspection at some stage.
Cutting back these low hanging branches has a dual affect. The inspection trails mentioned above is one. The other is a form of fertiliser, as the branches decompose and fertilise the ground when they fall.
I took these last few on the way out of the forest as the sun was setting.
This greenery has burst into life since cutting back branches which allowed the sun to gain access to the forest floor.
Here's a couple of the little hand saw at work. It's hard enough auld work, but worthwhile.
The moon was visible over head as I left the forest to drive home.
There is a nice mix of colours going on in this last photo and I don't dabble with photo editing so this is exactly as it was.
