The Northern Lights over Galway last night

Aurora Borealis

The world famous Aurora Borealis were once again visible in my home town of Galway last night.

I always thought that I'd have to shell out big money and travel to Iceland to experience the magnificent light show, but now twice in recent months I've experienced them on my own doorstep which has been amazing.

I hope that you also go to see them wherever you are. I can't believe we had a nice clear night on October 10th to allow us to see and enjoy this amazing celestial show.

When you consider that it usually rains around 364 out of 365 days, that's quite the feat. The luck of the Irish I suppose!! ☘️

My wife wanted to stay up and watch it and we thought we would take a nap then wake up and watch them but ended up sleeping through them lol. They probably were a bit brighter up where you are at.

Plus our toddler is a bad sleeper so I suspect it would have been a bit of chais the next day if she had her sleep schedule broken. I once went camping at wildcat mountain and slept through northern lights there too lol.
