Hello everyone, I am Farah!
Do you guys know Farrah Fawcett ? Actually, I was named after her name. My father was probably her biggest fan since she starred in the first season of the television series Charlie’s Angels as Jill Munroe, the private investigator. My father named all of his daughter as Farah as our first name. He named us Farah instead of Farrah just to make it look like Malay name. Haha, I was quite surprised to know the truth behind my name. She was such a beautiful and sweet woman. Unfortunately, she died at the very young age, about 62 years due to cancer. You guys can search on internet to find out more about her.
Hence, I am from West Malaysia. Currently, I am staying in Sabah doing my course to be an English teacher. Being apart from my family has made me realize that trying to survive on our own is quite hard since I am the youngest daughter in my family. I have never been quite far away from them even though I was once in boarding school for five years. It was not the same because I am still in my hometown. So I can always have them to visit me during weekend.
I like to learn various things whether it is about art, language, food, health or drama. When I was in my primary school, I love to draw design for clothes. I even have a book full of my terrible drawings on clothing’s design. Maybe I was planning to be a fashion designer in the future. I even enjoy Korean drama which is ‘Wonderful Mama’ that tells a story about a mother’s sacrifice to her children and have a little bit of plot about fashion. This story may be underrated since it is about family. But I like it although I cannot really remember how the plot of the story because it was Korean drama during 2013. So, by watching this drama, I had learn two things which is language and art in fashion.
Next, food is my passion because I love to cook for my beloved family. I had baked a chocolate cake for my brother’s birthday when I was in my teen. Even though it didn't turn out the way I had wanted, my brother still ate the cake and said to me, it was a delicious cake he had ever eaten. Ohhh, I miss him when I write about this. Furthermore, my interest on Korean drama had been decreasing when I was in my secondary school. It is because I do not have any access to this kind of entertainment. I was more focused on my study and that led me to gain my interest in health since I am a science stream student. But, I still love to watch ‘Get It Beauty’, a Korean television show about health and beauty. I watched it during 2015. So, I do not know about the latest episode of this series.
Now, I am more focusing on my self-development to be a great teacher that would inspire myself and people around me. In addition, I like to know more about culture of the other country, especially Thailand’s culture since my ancestor was a Siamese. Lastly, I hope we can engage well with each other and share many beneficial things together.
