MY BACKGROUND
Truth be told, I came from a poor background. Lost my dad at 4. My mum being jobless then could only provide a little for the family and life became tough for us. But the good Lord got our back. And today, we're fine.

MY LIFE EXPERIENCES
Life they say, is full of experiences. Have had the good, the bad and the ugly. Became fatherless at 4 and had to face life at such an early stage (the bad); Have always done well academically, Have always achieved most of my goals (the good); Developed ulcer at some point in school because I had no money to feed (the ugly). These are just a tip of the iceberg!

HOBBY
Reading, discussing business ideas, seeing interesting movies and hanging out with friends.

WORK
I’m into textile business and I also work as a part-time Real Estate Agent.

HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT STEEMIT
Wasn’t invited to this platform by anyone. Just got to know about it from a Facebook post, later browsed it & found it interesting in all aspects. As a lover of information updates on the latest trends, which I discovered is also available on Steemit, I decided to join.

THE CONTRIBUTIONS I'M WILLING TO MAKE TO THE STEEMIT COMMUNITY
As someone interested in Business, investment, Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin/Litecoin/Etherium), Sports, Health etc., I would be making posts on these areas so as to enlighten the Steemit community more.
Will also be posting verified global and local news on recent happenings.

I was welcomed with good advice too when I started so here i am. I know that steemit may seem very overwhelming right now but don't worry. After a few blog you will be the best blogger and contributor.

The official FAQ can be found here and has A LOT of information https://steemit.com/faq.html - Also remember, Steemit is just ONE of the sites built that uses Steem the blockchain. You should also check out DTube and DSound for starters and if you're a gamer, Steem Monsters! There are many other cool apps but I can't list them all here, there's just too many! But I'd also like to mention Steempeak, it's a better blogging platform that has a lot of cool features. Welcome to the blockchain! :) Oh, and if you're interested in creating your own tokens or smart contracts, check Steem engine!

We sincerely hope you find all that you are looking for here, and have found a new home here.
Six suggestions:

guard your passwords carefully, and only post with the posting key,
only use your active key for wallet transactions,
Master password is only for resetting new passwords,
do NOT lose your passwords; copy and store off line,
Don't post other people's work, whether photos or written without credit, and
when you open up your steemit.com, up in the upper right corner of the page is 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a whole lot of reading material that will help you.
If you find yourself overwhelmed at first and need some guidance, or you have any questions there are knowledgeable steemians available that can assist you; you can click to go to the Steem Terminal in Discord here:
