RE: Market Friday goes on Sale!

in #marketfriday5 years ago

I should have known you knew what it was, your well traveled and a fountain of Knowledge :)
When I lived in Pakistan, most of the International Staff had what they called servants and normally a few a cook a cleaner a gardener etc, that wasn't for me we had one guy Ibrahim that worked for us, doing a bit of cleaning and things around the house, but for me he was a employee and not a servant i just couldnt come to grips with that term, in fact he and his family became good friends with us, and we helped them out here and there, when we left Ibrahim did not need to work in the City any more his son with our help had done an apprenticeship as a tailor and had a couple of sewing machines i picked up for him and was running a successful business in the remote area they lived and that is something i feel so good about.

infact the last two years there, his family would come and stay with us before or after we took Christmas leave, but we would celebrate Christmas with them even if not on the date, one day he would cook for us and his family and the next we cooked a meal for all of them and us of course, those are times I remember fondly

and you Know I love Market Friday

Sort:

That is such a heart-warming story, JJ @tattoodjay I love to hear success stories like that. Teach a man to fish, and he will always eat.

Exactly.

What an opportunity to make a difference in someone's life! I want you to seriously dictate and write about some of your experiences, how wonderful a legacy to leave to your grandchildren and your kids. There will be a day that everyone will be interested when they hear what you have to say.

I am always interested and it sounds like an amazing life that is begging to be shared in greater detail!

I am so grateful my you #MarketFriday people!

I am glad to be one of the Market Friday People

A few of us have talked about writing some of the experiences down, but writing is not one of my strong points, but maybe one day I will try ;)

Well, you should set up a video (meant only for your eyes) and tell Lulu the stories! I did this with my dad and grandfather and I am so glad that I did! What wonderful memories!

Thats a good idea, maybe something I will seriously think about next year
