Let's get things straight.

So, @prinzvaluim sent a bid 4,000 STEEM for planet id 1,006 then less than 10mins later @take5 was bidding 5,001 STEEM on it.

I assume that there is a high possibility that @take5 wouldn't pay for the planet even if he/she win the auction. (Since his/her wallet is empty.. You know what I mean :))

and I am willing to buy the planet id 1,006 for 4,040 STEEM.

In this case, how will it work?
I mean, if @take5 's bidding was a fake.

@prinzvalium 4,000 STEEM -> @take5 5,001 STEEM then -> me 4,040 STEEM.
Bidding is look like this. I am asking if my bid is Valid, or blocked by @take5 's 5,001 STEEM.
Because it looks pretty suspicious to me that take5 's bidding was a fake one to cover @prinzvalium 's bidding.

So, long question short,

If @take5 win the auction with 5,001 STEEM then doesn't pay,
Will I win the auction for the planet id 1,006 ?
or @prinzvalium because he was bidding earlier than me?
(Please check the image, it explains how the bids went through)

Last auction is getting pretty tricky I can see..

Let's do fair play guyz.. :)

"If the winner doesn't reply/pay, the bid will be awarded to the bidder with the second highest bid." - FAQ

Your bid is valid and not blocked by @take5 's 5,001 STEEM. If he doesn't pay.

I don't know if @take5 is a troll-bid. My research shows he's not unknown. But I can be wrong. But as you can see, we have been deleting troll comments for 6 weeks now. Easy.

Is there any reason to not have users pay it upright, and when they get outbid, refund their bid?

It's not as banal as you think. You can build an auction script, but we wanted to concentrate 100% on the game.

Madness at the end.. :P
Bidding was fun after all,
It was an honor to participate auction of the great game!

At the moment, website doesn't work, (seems like it's down)
so I will just wait till these dusts settled down.

It is very late night / too early morning in here,
so it would be great if you guys announce the auction's result ASAP.

Oh, and just one more question,
if the game starts just after the last auction,
How&When the last auction's winner will receive the Legendary planet?

It's a question out of curiosity because I have no clue.

Please let me know how & when you(Nextcolony, I mean) will distribute the 9 legendary planets to the auction winners.

The start can be delayed a little bit, because we have to wait for the money entrance. The 9 planets are then irretrievably assigned to the 9 buyer accounts by us and then the game starts. The planets are deposited in advance under the buyer's name and linked to the account during registration. That's it. :)
