I had so much fun doing this, Oil paints yesterday were so so fun but when it comes down to truly personal fun, flat colors and shapes just takes the cake for me. I feel like i can describe form far more easier than any other method by just straight holding shift and clicking!
I was really happy with this piece as it described the lighting with simple negative white space!
I wanna show you that you can use nothing but squares and a piece will come through!
First off we start with the background which is the walls, just simple squares!
I describe a backdoor with fencing, this was really fun getting the shape of the windows and the fence patterns
And with a few more simple shapes you create an impression that theres a curtain

Add more of the opened folding doors
add in the figure! [ Timelapse available on my instagram! ]
A few blocks to describe the cloth chair and books by her feet
Add the final light source but not too strong with the luminosity tool and we're done
and thats a full painting done with mostly shift clicking to get straight shapes on a square brush!
