Splinterlands SlumLord Update... Coming into balance AND the careful with that pre-tax production display!

in #oneup11 months ago

I've been gradually jiggling my Splinterlands LAND plots around to try and get my grain production up to balance my research and SPS production...

It's been tough (well, 'tough') going but I'm getting there, towards a situation where I've got enough grain to cover my SPS and Research production.

The problem is the display on SL doesn't factor in taxes....

Here's my starting situation...

Now this implies I'm around 250 grain an hour short, which is around 5K a day, but with taxes we have..

My true cost to harvest...

Or around 200K a day, which puts me around 20K a day in deficit...

Hence my post-harvest numbers...

20K short of what I need for balance, i.e. 20K LESS than what I started with....

Castle pre-daily harvest

The GOOD NEWS is that my daily taxes taken in from the castle are getting on towards covering my 20K daily deficit. This is the castle pre-harvest...

Castle post-daily harvest

And this is the castle post-harvest....

I'm around 11.5K grain up... OK that's still a 9K grain deficit per day but...

I've still got a 400K grain stash AND I've got more grain plots slowly coming online over the next month.

I figure that a combination of those extra grain plots AND a few dozen more grain plots from other people in the region SHOULD put me in balance by the end of Jan!!!

LAND final thoughts...

It's 'tough' out there was Splinterlands slumlords!

My land strategy has evolved and developed as my FOMO and impulse buying have ebbed and flowed ! This morning the market presented me wit another offer I couldn't refuse and I added another plat to my holding, the same happened yesterday morning ..lol!

I'm setting myself up to focus on Grain in one region and Ore in the other, with both regions between them having a rare and common wood and stone plot to allow harvesting and refining of the basic materials I will need for upgrades and maintenance .

Its going to take me a long time to build out the plots and have enough DEC to stake into them, but I reckon I have enough time until 2.0 lands to get into position.

In the meantime its, grain, grain and more grain.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the liquidity pools work and dappling with them.

For context, my initial strategy was to own two plots (didn't own land prior to 1.5), as my two Runi will give great bonuses. Roll on a few weeks and now I have 23 plots and a long road ahead

That's some pretty good stacking - I'm mostly forest so it's wood for me - DEC is the pinch point for sure!

I have 4 plots and all are producing Grains. Is it based on plot type that grains or sps will be mindful? Or I am doing something wrong that my 4 plots are not able to mine #SPS..cheers

You can mine SPS on any plot but it's only really worth doing so on the occupieds where you get 100% boost
