Hello Steemians!
Today is Wednesday but not a Wednesday like others; today is WednesdayWalk! #wednesdaywalk is an initiative of @tattoodjay, visit his blog to know more about. If it is Wednesday, if you are walking, if you are taking photos, don't wait: JOIN!
Today is the first day of the year. I had lunch at home with my family to celebrate the anniversary and after that I started my wednesdaywalk. I decided to create a particularly entry for this time, a visual story with photos all in black and white version.
I followed the road near the Frigido River in the first steps, then I left that and I entered in some little roads near the railway.
I stopped in more occasions: the sun, the leaves, the plant; alls were a good subject for my smartphone. Yes, you understand: I took all the photos with my smartphone, as usual I do.
I reached the Sun Lake, a small lake reserved to the fishing. To do this I had to cross the highway thanks to a raised bridge. Here I photographed the mountains and the city where I live.
Coming back home I saw some hens perched on a hedge but I have no photos to show you.
At home I started my creative process: in the first I chose the photos on the smartphone. After that, I reviewed them on the pc and changed the colors.
Initially I wasn't sure whether to create a series of photos all in black and white, I thought it could be a little heavy for me and for those who will read the article. But I like black and white so much that I often participate in a competition for monochrome photos, here on steemit. Indeed, while we are here, we also enter the Monomad challenge, thanks to @brumest and @monochromes. Visit their blog or the #monomad tag to explore the entries.
The black and white covers have a particular charm in my opinion and manage to bring out even subjects that normally would never be considered and that seen in color they would not be able to tear more than a forced smile.
I have to admit that I spent some time on the PC to resize and change the cover of every single photo, but I like the result. Thank you another time @tattoodjay! :)
I hope you enjoy the post.
