Hey everybody, hope your week end is going well.
Today started very sunny, unlike what the forecast predicted. But with my very unusual hours, it was time for me to sleep a bit.
Later in the day, when I was ready, it was cloudier, but still nice. Of course, we started with a long walk in the woods.
Even if I did see a few people out there, it wasn't too bad for a week end and with a nice weather. So the dog could be off-leash for a little while.
But it's Caturday, so I wanted to share another dogs/cat encounter from a couple days ago. Just a few weeks ago, my dogs ran a cat up a tree in the forest. But this time, it was closer to home. When we came back from a walk, a stranger cat was on the deck, 'courting' our own Le Chat (she's fixed, and was clearly not interested). Chaos ensued! Both dogs ran after that poor cat. While fleeing, I guess he panicked and hit the fence. Kaia was able to actually grab him but I yelled and she let him go, not visibly hurt. Luckily he was able to find a small hole, get on the other side of the fence and run up a tree.
He was obviously terrified but safe at that point.
During all that, Le Chat was following the situation from under the deck.
After I put the dogs inside, that cat quickly climbed down and fled. Le Chat actually chased him. Now that the other cat was all scared, she acted all tough, with all hair up, and that typical fighting sound cats make.
Anyways, glad that cat apparently got out of here scared but uninjured. It's funny how the dogs are absolutely fine with Le Chat, but go after any other cats. They know she's part of the family.
That's it for today, thanks for stopping by. Take care and enjoy the rest of the week end.
