It's not every day you turn 12.
I wanted to do something special for his birthday. He's sports mad, a bit like his old man! He's also started to get into golf and had a little set of golf clubs, but he's outgrown them recently, so we got him a new set of clubs. Nothing to flashy, as he'll grow out of them again in the next couple of years.
They are from Decathlon and he loves that blue turquoise kind of colour, so he was thrilled when he got them.
It's not a full set of 14 clubs, like I have, it's 5 clubs.

He loved his present and certainly wasn't expecting anything else, however as fortune would have it, our football club Arsenal F.C. have had their best run in the Champions League in a long time and only PSG now stand in their way of making it to a second ever final, which happened under Arsene Wenger back in 2006.
As I said above, you only turn 12 once, so I planned a trip to London for today.
We still have no match tickets however, as the touts are looking for €1650 on line for a pair seated together. Madness. We love Arsenal, but we don't love them that much!
I've been to All Ireland finals and Old Firm derbies before where tickets are like golddust and picked up a ticket pre match, in fact once for an Old Firm, I got a feee ticket from someone from a well known 80s band. He refused to take any money and I got to sot next to hik and watched Celtic beat Rangers, which is an amazing memory.
Back to tonight's match and my son has been busy thid morning, making a sign for us to hold outside the Emirates with the hope of nabbing a few tickets. It's an extreme long shot, but ya never know!
Now, decision time.....
