Wild Flowers dance a jig
Is there anything quite like nature?
Her colours, her smells, her vistas. They never cease to amaze me and there are few things I enjoy as much as being immersed in her grasp.
I enjoyed one of these moments recently on my way home from working in the forestry. I was heading back to my car, when I was met with thus host of flowers dancing excitedly in the Summer breeze.
It was a sight to behold. Hear are a few photos that don't fully capture the beauty.
I stood and enjoyed the flowers for a few fleeting minutes, then grabbed my nosebag (lunch) from the car and disappeared back into the forest below to continue the high pruning that I was tasked with doing.
It was nice to sit among the trees eating my lunch as I listened to nature chirp and gurgle around me, birds in the canopy and a meandering stream the protagonists.
Fortunate or not?
At times, I believe I am very fortunate to have a good job that I can do effectively from home 90% of the time, working from my home office.
Other times, I feel that I should be outdoors immersed in nature doing something completely different that would be more rewarding for me and those who come after me. My purpose is not in Telecoms. I believe I have a deeper purpose, but am I brave enough to find it and embrace it? I dreamt last night about losing my job. Is that an omen? Who knows. What's certain is that A.I. is going to be a huge disruptor, so having a plan B may be well advised.
How's nature looking where you are right now? Have you got a plan B? Have you got a deeper purpose? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments below.
