My 2019: The Last 2019 Showcase Weekend - Suicide + Environmental Conservation, an Art Challenge, a Nightmare and more!

in #philippines5 years ago (edited)

Well, the @blocktrades contest @anomadsoul mentioned made me check on my 2019 posts. Apparently I've written a total of 149 posts this year according to Steemworld. This is the 150th post. 🎉

Out of 149, let me share the best undervalued posts from various topics. The writing contest is about showcasing the top 3 Steemit underrated (low payout) posts but I will also include others worth mentioning.

I'll start with this one.

Here's a Not-really-an-Undervalued but Still Worth Sharing Post

* The Poor and Entitled Mentality Will Never Make You Rich (2 comments, $5.14 post value)

Of course, there will always be something about money. Most people join Steemit for (extra) money anyway so why not share something that can help us all eh? Find out what I and a Singaporean duo have to say on the topic and let me know what you think. 😉

The Runner ups:

Now we get to three 2019 undervalued posts worth mentioning. Hehe.

* The Avengers: Oh No Loki, You Didn't! (3 comments, $0.28 post value)

So I wrote this as part of another anomadsoul writing challenge. This time it was for the Marvel movie watching challenge before the Avengers: Endgame showing date. I wrote it in a different way from my usual movie review. Hehe. Somehow it didn't get any curator attention so I'm sharing it here.

The way I reviewed it is more of a watch then comment style. It's kind of a nostalgic review. Why not when most people have watched it anyway, right?

* Halloween Meeting + How To Work Well With Others Accdg. To Me 😄 (No comments, $0.06 post value)

rqo8jc.png

This one is real estate work related. I had a meeting with two young foreign investors and they wanted me to sell the local properties they bought for their clients/relatives. You'll find out what happened and what we talked about in the meeting.

Don't worry there's no horrific part at all even if it was an October 31 meeting. 😁 It's partly me sharing how I prefer to do business with others too. 😉

* The 2018 Asia Riverprize Winner: The Pasig River is Really Back From the Dead! (2 comments, $0.80 post value)

2019 is also a year I showed more of the environmentalist side of me. I wrote this post early in January this year and since then have written and posted more environment related stuff here on Steemit and on my other social media accounts.

Why include this post? Well of course most people are interested in just money money money aside from sex and gossip. 😐 It's not everyday we hear or read about rivers being brought back to life right? Much less people who'd like to read about it.

I mean, who daydreams about earning millions just to clean a polluted river anyway? Is it just me? Well, read all about my daydream, what did happen to the Pasig River and then some.

Now we come to the Top 3 undervalued @artgirl posts of 2019!

drumroll please

1. What Would Happen if We Move/Encourage Suicidal People Into the Environmental Conservation Life? (2 comments, $0.31 post value)

This is what you get when you mix "snowflakery" with environmentalism (and possibly others may add "insensitivity" in the mix 🤷).

lkqxpw.png

I mean, seeing the 2017 article (screenshot above) made me think. There are more people now who want to die, we find out about more people committing suicide and yet there are people getting murdered out there fighting for a good cause.

Protecting/Conserving the environment seems like an anti-human issue but if you think deeper, how will we survive without Earth's natural resources? Why do we pollute and use them up with no thought of responsibility and sustainability?

It's time we became aware of environmentalists and indigenous people getting killed for protecting forests, sea creatures, etc., and their ancestral homeland from industrialization, destruction and abuse. Don't you think there's something wrong when we aren't paying much attention to protecting and conserving the most abused natural resources or deteriorating species in our natural world?

We take so much from this planet and yet we have no qualms in harming or depleting a variety of life forms we ultimately survive on. Do we even care as long as we eat 3x a day and waste all the rest?

I notice a lack of awareness on this topic, not only here on Steemit, so I wrote my article. It tackles two things:

  • The Lack of Environmental Concern Problem
  • Why Are More People Getting Depressed or Suffering from Mental Health Issues?

The post had two interesting comments. I would love to hear more on what people think about what I thought. 🤔

2. The Challenging Production of 1,500 pcs Custom Temporary Tattoos! (No comments, $0.40 post value)

This year I rarely wrote anything about art and any work related to it so it's not a surprise no big art curator seemed to notice this one. 🤷

Basically the title says it all. It's just the struggles I went through to finish the work. Sure it wasn't easy but I was happy to see the fruits of my labor.

Might not be the success story most people are looking for but it's still something worth reading. You'll still learn something in reading it if you read between the lines. 😉

3. Bangungot (Nightmares That Cause Death) is Real! (3 comments, $1.23 post value)

Did you know I almost died this year? No, not because of an accident or someone deliberately doing me harm but because of the "supernatural".

scjayl.png

Yeah yeah I know it's all a bunch of metaphysical mumbo jumbo but hey, people die in their sleep you know. It does happen. It's not a myth. So I shared my story to the world but heck not a lot of people saw it. Here's your chance to read about my experience and the possible reasons why it happened.

Who knows, reading it might save you from experiencing what I experienced. 🤷 Why not share your experience too if you have any. 😊

And there you have it. 😁 I think I have more interesting and undervalued posts this year but the above are what I consider the best ones you can read. I'll be happy to hear what you think of the posts too. 😊

XOXO,
@artgirl
