I was about to boot up a post for the first time too.

You should be logged in with Active private key for token related transactions. Boost and Promote is transfer operation just like steem transfer which requires active key or master key to be logged in with. Logout and try login with those and try again. Let us know if it works!
Wow, was about to write and ask the same thing! Will log out on comp & try, again. (I’m using phone to write this.)
