Hello there, welcome π€ once more to my little corner of the Internet. Have you ever seen a beaded lollipop/candy before? I bet if you have, either way, come along and let me show you one.
A few months back, my son had difficulty pronouncing the C for Candy π in his phonics song; he could only say "ca ca" without putting the "ndy.". Fast-forward to about a week ago, a video of a beaded candy popped up on my screen while I was searching for a particular song on YouTube. I couldn't just resist its cuteness, so I thought of adding the candy to my son's bead collection. Even though he is now able to pronounce the letter C and the word candy, I still wanted to make this for him.
In my today's #creativesunday I invite you to join me in making a sweet-looking candy/lollipop, as we usually call it here in Nigeria.
The material used:
to make this sweet-looking candy I used red and white seed beads, 0.3 fishline, and scissors.
Step-by-step process
The process is quite simple and not time-consuming, so come with me and let me show you how.
Step 1:
I started by cutting a 100 cm fishline, putting three red and two white beads interchangeably on the fishline, and then crossing both fishlines with the sixth bead.
Step 2:
I passed the right fishline through the next red bead, put three white beads on the left fishline, and then crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 3:
I passed the right fishline through the next red bead, put two red beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one white bead.
Step 4:
I passed the right fishline through the next red bead, put two white beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one white bead.
Step 5:
I put the right fishline through the next white bead, put two white beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 6:
I passed the right fishline through the next two beads, put one red bead on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 7:
Here, I put four beads on the left fishline and crossed both fishlines with the fourth bead.
Step 8:
I passed the right fishline through the next bead and put two red beads on the left fishline and crossed both fishlines with one white bead.
Step 9:
I passed the right fishline through the next white bead, put three white beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the third bead.
Step 10:
I put the right fishline through the next bead, put two white beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 11:
I passed the right fishline through the next red bead, put three red beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the third bead.
Step 12:
I passed the right fishline through the next bead, put two red beads on the left fishline and crossed both fishlines with one white bead.
Step 13:
I passed the right fishline through the next bead, put three white beads on the left fishline and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 14:
I passed the right fishline through the next bead, put two white beads on the left fishline and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 15 :
I passed the right fishline through the next bead, put three red beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the third bead.
Step 16:
I passed the right fishline through the next white bead, put two red beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 17:
I passed the right fishline through the next white bead, put three white beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the third bead.
Step 18:
I passed the right fishline through the next two beads; use one white bead to cross both fishlines to end this cycle.
Step 19:
Here I started the last cycle by putting three white beads on the left fish line and crossing both fish lines with the third bead.
Step 20:
I passed the right fishline through the next bead, put one white bead on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 21:
I passed the right fishline through the next red bead, put two red beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the second bead.
Step 22:
I put the right fishline through the next red bead, put one red bead on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with one red bead.
Step 23:
I continue to add the beads until the cycle is complete.
Step 24
Here I have a complete cycle; I just went ahead to make a second cycle.
Step 25:
I brought the two cycles together and joined them with a single bead all round.
Here is how it's looking.
Step 26
Here I added the candy stick.
I present to you our lollipop/candy.
And I hope you like it; let me know what you think in the comment section.
It did not only look like candy, it feels like candy, but it will definitely taste like bead lol.
Thank you so much for your attention and support. Do have a great time.
