Hello friends @sketchbook community. Here I am with yet another piece of my work. I am still open to learn ways to grow and improve though.
This time around I sketched a portrait of a flowered goddess which can also be referred to as goddess of the land. She is pretty and calm.
She represents total well-being of her people, fruitfulness in the Land,good productivity to the members of the community,peace among members of the community, nourishing harvest and prosperity.
The goddess also represents a fragile woman,the flower by her face shows that all women are like flowers,that should be protected,cared for and never be ill-treated or tortured.
The goddess shows that women should not be taken for granted because they help to complement the men.That is to say, in a situation where the man is not available (in the case of death and infirmity)The woman can serve as the man, providing and protecting the family,in extension bringing peace and harmony to the people of the community.(as in,the land)
Therefore, anyone who treats women unfairly will be banished from the land by the flowered goddess ( never to return).Also anyone who commits any attrocity will be thrown into the evil forest. Yes oo! It is as serious as that.
The flowered goddess is highly respected till today.
MY TECHNIQUE
Firstly, I carved the face of the goddess with the use of a HB pencil on a A4 plain sheet.Then I applied dark colour to highlight the lines to make the sketch visible enough, Haven done that,I then installed the flower by her face,with the touch of red and yellow colours. Coloured her lips with red colour and attached the stalk of the flower showing how it droppings beautify her face by adding more value to her importance.
Then the sketch is ready. TARRAA!!!!!!
