Hello, everyone!
We are thrilled to finally launch something we've been planning for quite some time. Introducing Hive Art Gallery—a new initiative dedicated to organizing art contests on Hive! ✨
Who We Are
Behind this idea is a familiar face in the Polish Hive community—@asia-pl—someone you may know from daily posts and (somewhat clumsy) drawing attempts. 😉 But this project wouldn’t be possible without @youngartfair, whose support and collaboration will play a crucial role in shaping the initiative.
Our Mission & Goals
The core mission of Hive Art Gallery is to host engaging art competitions right here on Hive and promote alternative ways of promoting artists' creations.
Our contest welcomes all kinds of creators—whether you paint, draw (including digital art, but strictly no AI-generated pieces!), sculpt, or create any other form of original and unique artwork. The key requirement? It must be your own work! To participate, you’ll need to submit at least two images: one showcasing the final piece and another showing your work in progress.
We won’t be reinventing the wheel—the competition format is heavily inspired by what we believe to be one of the best contests on Hive: the @pl-travelfeed contest. However, we’re open to evolving the rules in future editions as needed.
Our main goal is not just to reward talented artists within Hive, but—perhaps even more importantly—to attract new creators from outside the platform. Think of it as a creative fishing rod, drawing in fresh artistic talent. 🎣
